I'm a film and digital photographer that travels around from the West coast to the East coast documenting weddings from all over, shooting portraiture any chance I can get, and obsessing over the process of shooting film photography in the 21st century.
Photography for me started out as an outlet away from the day to day job as a civil engineer, and it took me about a year before I finally found what I love shooting the most. I tried landscapes in Washington, but it didn't excite me. Shooting old classic cars was fun, but I wasn't getting that itch to go back and shoot. It wasn't until I began experimenting with street photography on my walks home from work that I found that excitement and adrenaline from shooting portraits of interesting strangers. The emotion, colors, fashion, and the possibility of getting "in trouble" for shooting a random person's photo is what really fueled my passion for photography!
In 2020, I had a friend of mine, a wedding photographer, ask me to assist him shooting a wedding. I took the offer up, because I was simply curious how photographing a wedding would go. Needless to say, I was hooked from the start.
I shoot all of my weddings with a photojournalistic mindset capturing those special candid moments that come and go in a split second. With my experience in street photography, I'm always watching for that once in a lifetime candid moment that you just can't recreate. Those are my favorite shots!
Shooting weddings has quickly become my biggest passion in life, and I don't plan on slowing down anytime soon! For more of my wedding photography, feel free to explore my portfolio linked below or my instagram as well.
